Teachers and curriculum experts Elizabeth (Beth) Duncan and Rae Harris have developed curriculum materials sold on TeachersPayTeachers. Their store offers over 135 individual academic projects that cover a wide range of curricular topics to help meet learners’ needs. As building resource teachers for gifted and talented students, they recognize the need for engaging extensions to the regular classroom curriculum. The projects began as individualized projects, but evolved into project-based experiences for individual students, small groups, and whole classes.

Designed with the classroom in mind, these teacher-friendly materials help teachers differentiate instruction. The authors know how time-consuming differentiation can be, so they designed these projects. Using these resources, students can delve deeply into curricular topics that are aligned with national content standards.

When engaged in the projects, students can explore an aspect of a curricular topic, choose how they will learn about it, and use their creativity to express their learning.

A variety of materials are available on the website to meet the differing teacher and student needs:

• Explorations are written to guide individual or small groups of intermediate students (3 rd -6 th grades) to work through a project with minimal teacher support. They are perfect for teachers looking to differentiate instruction for one or more of their learners. They can also be used with a whole class. 
• Investigations are designed to for whole class learning, guided by the teacher, with opportunities for individuals or small groups to choose a project as a capstone of the unit. 
• Inquiry projects are teacher-guided, whole-class activities for primary learners (K to 3 rd grade) with the option for students to share their learning individually or in small groups. 
• Curriculum guides are extended, teacher-led units that culminate in student research and/or prh and/or projects.
